Visitors to the IRs will
have wonderful shopping opportunities. The Marina Bay Sands promises to be a
shopper’s paradise. This will be refreshingly accomplished by a mixture of
cutting-edge fashion, internationally recognizable labels and luxury brands not
currently available in Singapore including Saks, Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus.
The 117,100 sqm shopping gallery will be surrounded by hip food and beverage
outlets.
Most places on Earth can boast of one, maybe two, truly acclaimed celebrity
chefs. Not so at MBS. Rumors abound that the likes of Pierre Gagnaire, Charlie
Trotter, Alfonso Iaccarino, Tetsuya Wakuda, Thomas Keller and Hiroyuki Hiramatsu
have all booked restaurant space at the MBS! Overlooking the casino, these
restaurants will have something for even the most demanding diner!
Diners at RWS will also be spoiled for choice too. There will be well over 20
trendy restaurants offering menus with cuisine designed by celebrity chefs. For
the less discerning (or just those in a hurry) there is also an array of fast
food choices. Several cafes will also be strategically located near the
waterfront to give patrons that ‘lounging by the seaside feeling.?A sample of
celebrity chefs named to run some of the restaurants include: Susur Lee, Alain
Fabregues, Alan Wong, Scott Webster, Gary Kunz, Harlan Goldstein, Luke Mangan,
Don Pintabona, and the Marlon Abele-Marc Group.
As for shopping, another coup! Popular toy shop Hamley’s has confirmed it will
open its first shop outside of Europe at RWS. This, along with the already
confirmed Universal Store. Bring the kids!
Finally, no shopping emporium can be truly great without that special slice of
those who cater to those living the exclusive life. At RWS, you know who you
are. If you have to ask the price…well, you may well not be able to afford it.
Wallet busters on the list include Stradavarius, Cortefiel, Promod, Dutti,
Bershka, Zara, Massimo, and watch extraordinaire Cartier to name just a few.
