Casino Licenses - Will the IRs Need them?

There have been a number of questions concerning the granting of casino licenses in Singapore. Let me clear up some of these queries.

Neither IR can apply for a casino license or as it is sometimes known, a ‘casino concession?until they can prove to the Singapore government that they have completed the construction of at least 50% of the floor area and have spent no less than SG $ 2.5 billion or half of their development investment.
